7 Deadly Sins

Not completely sure about this one. Apparently, having no objection to sleeping until noon and eating out once in a while as well as eating processed or packaged food bumps up some scores.

Greed: Medium

Gluttony: Very High

Wrath: Low

Sloth: Very High

Envy: Very Low

Lust: Very Low

Pride: Medium

Though I’m now wondering just why I’m with Mr. B with scores like these. I’m not sure what he answered to knock these up so high, though I do have a few guesses.

Greed: Very High

Gluttony: Very High

Wrath: Very High

Sloth: Low

Stick Figures in Peril

Last year, I found a Flickr group called Stick Figures in Peril, I think because of some warning sign that Josh posted. Well, the other day he sent me a link to a picture I remember seeing in that group, so I went back out and looked around again. I’ve been skimming through the pictures, and since I needed a pick me up today, I thought I’d post a few that caught my eye. :) A lot of these pictures are duplicated throughout the group, so it’s possible you’ve seen something similar. I just posted the first one I encountered.

Warning: Some of these aren’t really safe for work.

Zombies? I’d sneak my way to survival.

Giving myself a bit of a push

NaBloPoMo is almost upon us. Having said that, you may be thinking I’m actually going to participate. Now, I’ve toyed with the idea, but I’m not quite sure I want to bite that off right away. I’m having a hard enough time posting at all, much less posting each and every single day. (Yes, I know I can write a post and set it to publish on the correct day, but I’m too much of a procrastinator to have things done ahead of time like that would require.)

But I want to do something to just get myself moving again. On my other blog, I posted quite a bit, but there wasn’t much substance. When trying to focus on substance here, I tend to not blog at all. Well, I want to try for both. I’m thinking of doing NaBloPoMo with my own twist. Instead of posting once every day, I’m thinking of posting an average of once per day. So still 30 posts, but not quite stuck to the every day has to have a post. Just having 30 posts would be a great improvement for me. Focusing on regular updates can come later.

To avoid meaningless drivel, I’m trying to come up with a theme for the month. I’ve been working on some possible ideas to fit that theme to make sure it’s possible to generate a month’s worth of posts out of it, though depending upon how that goes, I may split the month into two themes. Dunno yet. But I am working on it, so hopefully in the next couple days I’ll be able to give you the details of my goal for November. After all, I don’t have a lot of time before November is already start. Gotta get moving…

Never watched the show, so I’m not sure if this is good or bad…

You scored as Kirsten, You are a perfectionist. Be weary of being too rigid and limiting your openness to varied experiences. Neat freaks are just as irrational as slobs. A half messy person is, in fact, the ideal. Optimal evolution (according to the research) is dependent on a sufficient amount of random variation and being overly regimented inhibits variation.

What OC character are you?
created with QuizFarm.com

Hey – it says Good…keep that in mind

You scored as Neutral Good, A Neutral Good person tries to do the ‘goodest’ thing possible. These people are willing to work with the law to accomplish their goal, but if the law is corrupt they are just as willing to tear it down. To these people, doing what’s right is the most important thing, regardless of rules, customs, or laws.

OK, This Amuses Me

Online Dating

Apparently, I got this rating because the word sex showed up 5 times (now that I’ve looked, they were all in the Anita Blake book posts except for one in which I referenced Sex in the City) and cannibal showed up twice (this was the Serenity character results). Oh well…I guess I can live with that. I just find it amusing. :)

If we were Serenity Characters

Most of the people I know are reading this blog haven’t watched Firefly or Serenity, but I had to take the “Which Serenity character are you?” quiz, and I’m going to blog the results anyway:

My results:

You are good at fixing things.
You are usually cheerful.
You appreciate being treated
with delicacy and specialness.

Mr. B instantly spoke up about my results. “Kaylee likes to get pounded near engines. Sweet!” I knew he thought she was cute and liked the fact that she was into mechanics, engines, etc. I just had no idea it quite went there. *sigh*

Honest and a defender of the innocent.
You sometimes make mistakes in judgment
but you are generally good and
would protect your crew from harm.

I think he was expecting me to say something like “That’s not right.” And while I don’t quite see it since Mal had this air about him, for lack of a better term since I can’t quite describe it, I think given the choices, it’s probably closest. Oh well…
