Entries (RSS)The Writer’s Strike is starting to affect the shows I watch. This morning I was wondering why the TiVo wasn’t recording a couple of Mr. B’s shows, so I checked the recording To Do list. I noticed that more and more shows are falling into the “No new episodes” category. Very quickly we’re going to be out of new TV shows to watch. There are a few that I’ll miss and some, not so much. After seeing Debra’s post today, I got inspired to give a little info into the shows I watch and whether I would miss them once they’re out of shows. This ignores most of Mr. B’s shows that are all over the TiVo.
Would miss it a lot:
- Heroes – I ♥ Heroes, a lot. I’m already dreading this one going on any kind of hiatus and what that could mean since there’s been comments of them changing the ending of episode 11 due to the strike.
- Chuck – I actually don’t watch this show on TV. I watch it from NBC.com instead. And it’s just really starting to get me sucked in.
- Reaper – This one is cute. I originally thought I wouldn’t miss it, but it’s really started growing on me recently, like Chuck.
Wouldn’t miss it if it went on hiatus, but would miss it if it was gone forever:
- Shark – For some reason, whenever I think of this one, I think “Well, it’s OK”, but never great or anything, but when I am watching it, I do enjoy it. It’s kind of weird. I don’t think I’d miss it, but when it’s on, I feel like I would. Also, there were a couple episodes that started late, and one of them I didn’t realize it and missed the second half of the show, which still bothers me. So, I’m kinda torn.
- Robot Chicken – I really enjoy this show. But it’s also a short show and seems like it’s got a smaller season than most other shows anyway due to the extra work in filming it, so I’m kinda used to it not being on as much as others.
- How I Met Your Mother – I really wanna find out who the mother is, but as Mr. B pointed out the other day, if that happens, it’ll probably mean the show is ending.
- My Name is Earl – This is one that I think I could take or leave, but then I watch an episode, it cracks me up, and I’m hooked again.
Wouldn’t miss it:
- The Simpsons – Mr. B watches this one religiously, and while I enjoy it, I don’t always watch it.
- Family Guy – Another one Mr. B watches religiously. I enjoy this one a bit more than The Simpsons, I think because Stewie and Brian crack me up. It’s just so very wrong at times.
- The Big Bang Theory – I find this one very amusing, but at the same time I haven’t really gotten so sucked in that I couldn’t live without it.
- Two and a Half Men – I’d much rather be watching Heroes, so this one gets taped and I always enjoy it, but I could miss several episodes without really caring.
- Smallville – I’ve really enjoyed some seasons and skipped entire others, so I guess this one always depends upon what’s going on at the time. So far this season, I’m not completely sure where it’s going and if I care.
- Friday Night Lights – I’m kinda deciding with this one. I got sucked in quite a bit at first, but this season, I’m not so sure I care anymore what happens. Not sure what happened to this one for me.
- Las Vegas – I originally never watched this show, but Mr. B got me into it. This season, it’s changed quite a bit as cast members have left, and it’s just not quite the same anymore. Wonder how much longer it’s even going to last…
Yes, I am aware I watch too much TV. But if you notice, most of them I could do without anyway.
