I know what I want…

I just don’t know how to do it. I mentioned in the previous post that I wanted a scarab/Egyptian theme for my blog. I started planning it all out in January when I first signed up for the blog. I was planning on making the blog look the way I wanted it before I really started using it. After almost two months, I gave up on that idea and just started using the blog. But I still intended to make it look how I wanted. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how. And, I still don’t.

I could easily customize this with CSS. Unfortunately, I don’t know CSS. I could also create whatever background and images I liked with a multitude of programs. Unfortunately, I don’t completely know how to do that either. I could find someone to do it for me, but getting the image in my head into another person’s mind is somewhat difficult. I don’t know how to explain what I want, not to mention its still just a general idea, but I want the control over each and every detail. So that kinda leaves me doing it myself.

And I’ve been working on learning CSS. But I get distracted or lose motivation or something. And before you know it, a month or more has passed. And then I look at the blog and it bothers me that after this long, it’s still not want I want. That gets me going again, but it doesn’t usually last very long. There’s just too many other things to do and not enough time to do any of it. So here it is, ten months later and I’m unhappy with myself for letting it go this long, but with the holidays coming, it’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
