Welcome!

So I’ve had this site since January and I’ve been planning on getting it all setup and configured the way I want it, but that’s taking too long.  So I’m opening up shop anyway, and I’ll update as I go.  Please don’t mind the dust.

Anyway, I’m Scarab – or at least, that’s what you can call me here.  I’d prefer you not use my real name.  Well, honestly, I’d prefer this was completely anonymous (and to the casual visitor that may be), but I don’t think that’s completely possible for people who know me in real life – at least not if they know of anyone else’s blog.  It’s hard to not figure out who I am from what I talk about and who will probably end up adding me to their blogrolls, etc.  So, I simply ask that you don’t use my name.  At some point, I’ll explain the name and the site, but not right now.  This is just an intro.

Along with that, I won’t be using anyone else’s names – unless they want me to.  For bloggers, I’ll use your blog name unless you tell me you’d prefer otherwise.  For non-bloggers, I’ll make up a codename or you can give me your own. 

Now, I can’t guarantee I’ll be a regular poster.  I’ll post when I have something to say.  I’m trying to work on quality, not quantity, so if there’s nothing interesting to say, I won’t say it.  I had an older blog, and it degenerated into a “What I had for lunch” blog, and I don’t want that anymore, so this is my fresh start.  That’s not to say you won’t occasionally get some long rambling story, but I hope to make that an exception rather than a rule.

Anyway, with all that said, I’ll just say Welcome.  I hope you come back again soon, and I hope there’s something new for you to check out when you do.  We’ll see how it goes…
